Brewing and Extraction is a private class for baristas and coffee enthusiasts of all experience levels, and is scheduled by appointment.
This class covers coffee extraction for both espresso and brewed coffee. Students learn the science behind extraction and the factors that affect it, how to calculate total extraction using a refractometer and Extract Mojo software, and how to relate these numbers back to taste.
By the end of class, students will be able to taste a coffee and correct for any extraction issues present. Students will also gain familiarity with SCA standard pourover brewing techniques, and learn to practice consistency in their brewing habits. A great class for home enthusiasts and baristas alike, this course is tailored to your experience level.
